At each end of the bridge, casing was drilled directly through the road surface at 16 locations to a depth of 38 feet. Low mobility grout was injected at 16 locations on either end of the bridge.

Once grout columns were established, the approach was lifted to realign it with the roadway and bridge surface, for smooth vehicle transitions. Finally, any void spaces that developed during settling or lifting were filled with a flowable grout mix.

Compaction Grouting is a highly workable solution for roadway settlement, with minimal traffic disruption and no need for costly excavation or resurfacing.
